The best film-maker on the planet right now is a South African lady called Alex Mamacos who has been down with 100proof since the beginning. Her first film 'My Beloved Thandiwe' just blew me away, and it takes a lot to move me these days… Pure film-making, purely non-commercial, for the love of film and true love of humanity, which in this day and age of movie bullshit is a fucking rare thing...
